Day 1: Arrive Adelaide
Welcome to Adelaide. Adelaide is bursting with culture, flavours, events and entertainment. Adelaide is a gateway to some of Australia's best wine country as well as historic buildings, lush parklands and some of the country's best beaches. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight.
Days 2: Adelaide - Barossa & Hahndorf Highlights
Breakfast. Today travel through the city of Adelaide northwards to the world renowned Barossa wine region. Make your way into the vineyards of South Australia's premium wine district. Enjoy a scrumptious 2 course lunch (including a tasting plate) along with wine tastings from two boutique Barossa wineries. Leaving the Barossa, we'll stop at the Herbig Family Tree at Springton. Later travel to the picturesque Adelaide Hills and on arrival into Hahndorf (Adelaide's oldest German settlement), you can choose between wine tastings at the boutique RockBare Cellar Door or free time to explore Hahndorf's main street with many shops and galleries full of local arts, crafts and produce and pubs where you can sample some German Beers. Overnight.
Day 3: Adelaide - Kangaroo Island Overnight By Cruise.
Breakfast. Today you have an early morning pick from your hotel. Enjoy a scenic coach trip through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis. On arrival board the Sealink ferry for the 45 minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island to join your coach tour. Take the time to explore Kangaroo Island, one of Australia's finest nature-based tourism destinations and one of Australia's National Landscapes.
Visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery where you will learn about the history of the oil distillery and take a guided tour. Continue onto Vivonne Bay Bistro for a delicious two course lunch. After lunch visit Seal Bay Conservation Park and walk amongst the Australian sea lions with a National Park Ranger. Continue onto the fascinating In-flight Birds of Prey Display at Raptor Domain where you can meet an array of Australian birds and raptors. From here, travel to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can get up close with Koalas, see Penguins swim and play, hand feed Kangaroos and Wallabies, learn about endangered species, interact with Snakes, Crocodiles and reptiles and experience Kangaroo Island Wildlife at your fingertips! You will then be transferred back to your chosen overnight accommodation. Overnight.
Day 4: Kangaroo Island - Adelaide
After a delicious breakfast, visit Clifford's Honey Farm to enjoy an informative talk by the beekeeper followed by tastings and an opportunity to sample homemade honey ice-cream. Next, travel to Hanson Bay Visitor Centre Café for a scrumptious two course lunch. After lunch you have the chance to look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts and see an abundance of native birdlife in the wildlife sanctuary. Next, travel to the western most part of the Island, Flinders Chase National Park to witness stunning coastlines and walk around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Transfer to Penneshaw where you board the Sealink ferry to Cape Jervis before connecting with the coach to Adelaide.
Day 5: Adelaide – Melbourne
Breakfast. Transfer from Adelaide City Centre to Airport for your flight to Melbourne. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.
Day 6: Melbourne - Morning City Sights & MCG Admission
Breakfast. Visit Fitzroy Gardens and see Captain Cook's Cottage (own expense), Queen Victoria Market, Albert Park, home to the Australian Grand Prix. Stroll the Royal Botanic Gardens; see the Royal Exhibition Buildings and Federation Square. Visit the Shrine of Remembrance and see the Southbank waterfront. See St. Paul's Cathedral and the Princess and Regent theatres. Cross the Bolted Bridge for great city views. This tour ends by 1200hrs at Federation Square.
Later join the guided one hour Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) tour. Explore Flemington, home of the Melbourne Cup. Drive through the Commonwealth Games Athlete Villages and around Albert Park, the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit. Go behind the scenes of the MCG. Highlights (all subject to availability) include the Northern Stand, coaches' box, players' change rooms, cricket viewing room, long room, Bill Lawry Cricket Centre, the Ponsford Stand. Drive to Etihad Stadium and enjoy lunch overlooking the arena. Overnight.
Day 7: Melbourne - Great Ocean Road & Twelve Apostles
Early breakfast. Cross the Westgate Bridge to the Surf Coast and the world's premier surfing spot of Bells Beach. Absorb the amazing coastal scenery, stopping for photos en route to Kennet River Township to see koalas in their native habitat. Continue to Apollo Bay for a lunch stop (own expense). Drive to the spectacular Otway Ranges for a walk in the cool temperate rainforest. Drive to Port Campbell National Park and its iconic array of rock formations and the majestic monoliths of the 12 Apostles. Take the scenic helicopter ride of your life as you soar over the rock formations (optional). Return to Melbourne. Overnight.
Day 8: Melbourne - Sydney
Breakfast. Transfer to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Sydney. Welcome to Sydney. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 9: Sydney -Morning City Sights, Combination 2 In 1 Pass & Showboat Dinner Cruise
Breakfast. In the morning you will be picked up for the Sydney City Tour including Manly Beach. You'll head out over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the largest steel arch bridges in the world. Just a few kilometres from Sydney city on the lower North Shore is Milsons Point. Milsons Point is a popular destination for both locals and visitors. From Milsons Point you'll get a fantastic view of the iconic Sydney Opera House. Time to feel the sand between your toes! The exciting suburb of Manly is famous for its beaches that stretch from Queenscliff up to the North Steyne Beach to Manly Beach. With its relaxed, outdoor lifestyle, Manly is a great place to take some time wandering on the beaches and checking out the sights. Tour ends at King Street Wharf.
Make your own way to Darling Harbour to utilize your 2 in 1 pass- Choice of any 2 – The Sydney Tower Eye, SEA Life Aquarium, Madame Tussauds OR Wildlife Sydney (10 minutes' walk from King Street Wharf)
Today in the evening make your way to King Street Wharf 5 to check in for the Showboat Diner Cruise (Indian Menu). Sydney Showboats is one of the most unique dining destinations on Sydney Harbour! The dining experience is a seamless blend of old and new that gives you a taste of the old world with all comforts and luxury of modernity to enhance your Sydney dinner cruise experience! Overnight.
Day 10: Sydney Blue Mountains & Wildlife Incl. Scenic World Rides.
Breakfast. Today you will be picked up from your hotel for a Full day tour to the Blue Mountains. Enjoy a stop at Echo Point and see the famous three Sisters rock formation. Arrive at Scenic World and experience the Blue Mountains rides - Scenic Railway, Cableway or Skyway. These rides are a great way to see the steep valleys, canyons and Three Sisters rock formation. Arrive at Leura village for lunch. Next enjoy an afternoon encounter at Featherdale Wildlife Park and have your photo taken with a cuddly koala (own expense), see kangaroos, wombats, dingoes and little penguins. Travel back to Sydney.
Day 11: Depart Sydney
Breakfast. Transfer to Airport for your flight back home with fond memories.
