Before heading back to your hotel, perhaps take a stroll along the Galle Face green and enjoy afternoon tea or a sundowner (payable locally) at the iconic Galle Face Hotel, one of the oldest in South Asia, with fantastic views out across the glistening Indian Ocean. Dinner will be served at an Indian restaurant in Colombo. Overnight.
Day 3: Colombo – Kandy
Breakfast and proceed to Kandy. Before check-in to your hotel enjoy a Kandy city tour.

The Sacred Temple of the Tooth is certainly the most revered and iconic place to visit in this cultural capital but other highlights include the historic Kandy Lake, the Royal Botanical Gardens and the scenic Victoria Golf Club. Whilst you are in Kandy, also look out for the silverware, brassware and gem-studded jewelry, carefully carved and designed by the Kandyan craftsman, who are known to be the most skilled in the country. Kandy can be a bustling place in the day so there is nothing quite like a late evening stroll around the serene lake with a view to the Sacred Temple and the distant sound of drums in the background. This evening enjoy the Kandy Cultural dance. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight.
Day 4: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast at hotel, this morning proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Check in to your hotel and relax. Afternoon proceed to visit Nuwara Eliya City. The stunning drive to Nuwara Eliya is a photographer’s paradise. Pause every now and again to admire the gushing waterfalls, the vast tea terraces, the old tea factories and the expansive vegetable fields along the way.

Upon arrival at Nuwara Eliya, you will notice the sudden drop in temperature. With log fires and blankets in the Victorian-style bungalows and the beautifully kept lawns and flower gardens, it is no wonder this part of the world has become known as ‘Little England’. Visit the Gregory’s Lake or the Seetha Amman Hindu Temple. Wander through the fruit and vegetable markets and strike a bargain at the night ‘bale’ market. Break up the day with a freshly brewed Ceylon tea and homemade strawberry jam on toast, or for those into golf, tee off at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 5: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota / Hikkaduwa
After breakfast this morning, you will leave for Bentota / Hikkaduwa. Check in to your hotel and relax. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.
Day 6: Bentota / Hikkaduwa
Breakfast. Day is at leisure enjoying hotel facilities and the beach. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Overnight.
Day 7: Bentota - Negombo
Breakfast. Proceed to Negombo. Located north of Colombo and just 30 minutes’ drive from Bandaranaike International Airport lies the fishing town of Negombo. With its hectic harbor and bustling fish market (every day except Sundays and Poya holidays), this town is a gourmet paradise with seafood aplenty. Palm-fringed beaches, old-fashioned catamarans, a Dutch-built canal, colonial architecture and colorful boutiques all add character to this hub of activity. You will notice that ornate churches pepper the landscape in this part of the country since the majority of people here are Catholic or Christian. That said, there are still a few very important Buddhist temples to explore as well. Check in to your hotel and stay leisure. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Overnight.
