Dear Shirin, We would once again like to thank you and TBI for all the bookings and planning you did for us for our summer vacation. We were very impressed with the way the itinerary was planned as it helped us not to waste any time and we made the most of every day we had in all these beautiful cities. It was a fantastic idea to take overnight train journeys as this was a superb experience and it once again saved a lot of time. The trains were very comfortable and extremely safe. All the Hotels selected were very comfortable and centrally situated. Most of the tours were also very interesting and the best part was that all the pick ups were exactly on time. A few of the things which we were not that great were (this is only so that you can advice future clients better) :

Hi Samidha,  What can we say about the dream island - it was once in a lifetime where we got to walk with the Lions, feed the fishes underwater and walking with them as well? And that's not all, we also watched the part of the Island from the sky when we did our parasailing. The entire trip was worth the money including the stay, transfers to various points and meals as well. Sightseeing to the North and South of Mauritius and the IL AUX CERF ISLAND were worth watching. In addition to that there were different places, gardens, volcanic spots, beaches and some wild life which were also worth seeing. Adding to this, everything was organized properly and efficiently by

Although the company is located in India we choose Trail Blazer as we wanted to travel around Delhi, Agra and Jaipur by a company that knows the place, the people and the activities associated with each tourist site. Right from the start of discussing our trip to actually being there, Trail Blazer have helped us in organising the trip to our preference including the airline booking and hotel accommodation. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating to our needs and also guided us as to which sites were worthwhile to visit. We were never locked into any particular tour which made it flexible for our needs. When we arrived we were always greeted by a friendly representative from the company at the airport and at our hotel accommodation. They were most helpful in guiding us and organising any additional places of interest or restaurants that we wished to visit or dine in. We were also impressed on the care that was shown towards us as to a representative being with us to help us purchase the tickets for the Sound and Light show at the Red Fort in Delhi which was an optional tour visit. The driver and all the English speaking guides were very knowledgeable on the history of the each site that we visited. Hello Nimisha, I am sorry it took us so long to get back to you to say that we had a wonderful time all through our holiday. Every leg of the journey was well planned and the places visited lived up to their full promise. We were particularly pleased with the planning for Turkey. Having a full time English speaking guide all for ourselves and all through the trip was very helpful. As was the availability at all times of a car and driver. All hotels were not as comfortable as we would have wanted and perhaps next time we will be more specific. Thank you and please convery our thanks to your whole team. Dear Meher and Nimisha, As I mentioned on the phone to Nimisha, our tour has gone very well. Today the last group arrived in Mumbai and all 6 of us are very happy with the tour. I want to thank both of you for taking special care and pains to make the arrangements ( it wasnt a homogenous one-itineraryy group ! ) Barring the hotel in Cairo, all other hotels were good, the sightseeing arrangements were good. Dear Meher, My family returned on 2nd June 2009 after a most enjoyable vacation in Greece and Turkey. We are writing to thank you for arranging an excellent tour of both countries. In Greece all the arrangements were meticulous. Your agent was excellent and delivered everything he promised. Santorini was a delight. Crete was lovely too but do advise your clients to spend at least 3 full days there, otherwise it really isn’t worthwhile. The Terra Maris hotel in Crete was just superb. The Globus tour was good but we have suggested a few changes to them in their questionnaire. The Istanbul hotel, Arena, was in a superb location. All these hotels are old Ottoman homes, refurbished as hotels. As such, the rooms are not standard at all. We had a good room but the room allocated to Shireen and Freyan was very very small, although the amount charged was the same. This is just for your information. The staff was helpful and obliging. Given a choice, all of us would definitely stay in the Sultanahmet area rather than in Taksim. Please do convey to Shirin that she did an excellent job. Dear Morina, Sorry for the delay in replying but I have been quite busy. Thanks for a super trip, everything went off really well except the fact that Darius and Sonja could not join us. I thought that all the hotels we had were great and the arrangements super, everything went as per the plans with no hiccups whatsoever. A few tips I would suggest are: Banjara Camps in Sangla are just outstanding-their hospitality is great, food is really good,they help and coordinate activities as per your desire and their location is terrific. Its a place any one could enjoy. Banjara in Shojha is also beautiful, its location is great but I think its not for the older age group or if you have a bit of a problem climbing up and down coz you need to go down what feels like half the mountain to get to the hotel. Mcleodganj is OK for just 1 night unless you want to go up and down the same street looking at the same stalls, over and over again. Manali is OK and being progressively ruined. It is best to stay a distance away when you have a car at your service. I thought Dalhousie was beautiful and the hotel was good. They really were out to please and did all that anyone asked. The location was just spectacular. Kalpa was terrific and so was the HPTDC place there. All in all I thought the Kinnaur region was a better area but then it could be that it was not overcrowded and hence relatively unspoilt like Manali and Dharamsala. I think the roads were pretty bad and we did too much of driving but then that was our fault not yours,we were a tad too ambitious and hence were pretty tired on a regular basis. So I would not repeat the mistake again. All the same, I would love to go back to Himachal to the areas we could not do this time. Dear Morina I am extremely sorry to get back to you so late. With a lot of things happening at the same time I couldnt write earlier. Our trip to Andaman and Havelock islands was fabulous. It was everything we expected and more. The hotel reservations done by you both in Port Blair and in Havelock Island were excellent. The service, food, ambience we enjoyed thoroughly. The agents who met us were helpful and accomodating. I must say we both enjoyed the stay at Havelock Island more than Port Blair. For one thing it was far less crowded and more suited for honeymooners. Also we got the opportunity to do a lot of water sports there thru the hotel services itself. Dear Sunil Mr Bob Wilson rang to apologise for the delay in getting in touch with us after they returned from their trip mid March but was wanting to send a diary of his travels - 8 pages of it and it was good to know that they all so enjoyed the prog we put together and his trip down memory lane visiting his old school in Nainital and where he was brought up in Nainpur was what he was wanting to do for a long time but didnt know how to set about it, till he met Amanda and Charlie at Kipling a couple of years ago and Amanda told him about me! Bob Wilson was full of praise for Trail Blazers and asked me to pass on their thanks to all concerned with special thanks to Sumit Kumar in Delhi who looked after them so well and stayed with them at the station till the train came in (late) and put them on the train - they said they would never have managed without him. Also thanks to Aramsingh the driver who took them to Nainital and thanks to Rattan Singh. Thanks for the request for feedback - it is a healthy sign that your organisation is always looking for opportunities to improve. Overall we had a very good experience while in India and were pleased with the services arranged by your company. Some specifics from me which Emma may wish to add to: - Driving in India is something of a shock to visitors used to less crowded and chaotic road systems. The drivers that we had were good - in particular Rajender who took us from Dehli to Jaipur. A strong recommendation would be that all the vehicles should be fitted with seatbelts on every seat. ... - The hotels we used were of the expected quality with the exception of the Connaught in Dehli. I would not recommend using this venue until the required improvements have been made. - Our guides were all very good and sensitive to our needs. Yussef in Agra in particular was probably the most impressive in terms of experience and his explanations of what we were seeing. - The itinerary was useful in terms of information. A suggestion for those like us that have not pre-paid for entrance fees is to provide a guide on what cash requirements will be for each day in the details. Our congratulations to our friend Dominique La Pierre who received the Padma Vibhushan from India’s President Pratibha Patil last month. “It is a gift from the people of the Sunderbans for my love for them … ” Says Dominique who has been deeply involved with this area, since the last 27 years, providing funds from his book royalties. TBI is proud to look after all the travel arrangements for him and his wife, also Dominique.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your organazation for the excellent way you organized our Greek Islands cruise. Your voluminous e-mails took care of every detail, answered all our questions and took the worry out of our own planning. The cruise itself was well run and Maharookh and Darious and we had an enjoyable voyage, thanks to your excellant arrangements.' The only hitch was in my meeting up with the cruise in Istanbul. The address you gave was not recognized by the taxi driver or the local people. I finally stumbled on to the ship after an hour's search.We wish you every success in your well -run enterprise. This is to thank you both and everyone else who was involved in the planning and execution of our recent holiday to China. We absolutely loved every minute of it and would especially like to thank our guides Lily, Marshall, Colleen and Angela, who were patient (with our demands for shopping), helpful and informative and very friendly. So far, Turkey used to be my favourite country, but it has now become China. It is so rich in culture and with so much to see and very skilled and talented people. I especially loved the artefact shopping. And, contrary to what we had been told, by just about everyone, we just loved Chinese food and very quickly asked for the Indian meals in Shanghai to be changed to Chinese. We ofcourse had our share of out of the ordinary experiences, like missing luggage in Beijing, and trying to order food in the dining car of the train when no one understood English - and this man who became very aggressive when we peered to see what he was eating - and ofcourse the quake which we felt in Wuzhen. But these things only made our holiday more memorable. There is one strong suggestion from us. The Hutong area was so charming that it would have been nice to have had our dinner in one of the little restaurants by the water - would have given a better feel of the place. And how can I forget the shows which were absoluely amazing especially the Song Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty. Once again we want to thank you and all the friends from Trail Blazer for your wonderful warm hospitality at the occasion of our recent visit to India for the great ceremony of the award of my Padma Bhushan. I shall now carry with pride the medal of my Padma Bhushan on my chest in all official occasions. I already feel the positive vitamins from this beautiful Lotus ornament. Dear Homa, you'll never know how much all this generosity from Trail Blazer means to make our humanitarian task easier and more efficient. Sometimes we feel a little tired but, suddenly, thanks to you, thanks to this comfortable flights, thanks to these smiling faces welcoming us at airports, we regain all our strength to continue with even more enthusiasm our crusade for the benefit of our Indian brothers and sisters. It was wonderful to see you all the other day at the Olive Beach to convey publicly our gratitude. I felt the souls of Adi and Behram were with us in this very special occasion. I just wanted to say thanks for all your help with planning our trip to India. Sherie & the travel group Trail Blazers were great. The attached picture was during our tour of the kitchen at the Golden Temple. We got to see how they feed 30,000 people every day and participated in rolling the bread for the Nan. The camp was very comfortable and people were very friendly. We weren't expecting such luxurious accommodations and were pleasantly surprised. Everything from the bedding to blankets and hot water was provided. The staff was very friendly and helpful and were promptly at our service whenever needed. The camp location was also very beautiful and added to our experience. The rafting trips were the highlight and we really enjoyed them. Our special thanks to Prem Sir, who was ever so helpful and patient with us! We thoroughly enjoyed the Bonn fires along with the guitarist.
In all it was an unforgettable and exciting vacation, with absolutely no complaints! We hope to be back in the serene surroundings soon.
