Day 1: Arrive Jorhat - Majuli, Assam

On your arrival, our tour representative will meet you at the Jorhat Airport to pick you up for your onward journey. Reach Nimati Ghat and board the ferry for Majuli. This river island is renowned for its vibrant culture, and it also houses the Vaishnavite monasteries. Arrive and check in to your hotel. Evening at leisure.

Day 2: Majuli - Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to visit some Satras (monasteries), some dating back to the 16th century. The Institution of Satra is a unique feature of Vaishnavism in Assam, founded by Sankardeva, the father of Assamese culture. They are also centres of traditional arts. Explore the unique mask-making art of Majuli. Interact with the artists to learn how these unique masks take shape, from bamboo structures to the final product. In the evening, cycle around or relax by the river.

Day 3: Majuli - Kaziranga

After breakfast, proceed to Kaziranga, one of the largest National Parks, home of the Big 5 - Elephant, Rhinoceros, Asiatic Buffalo, Bengal Tiger, Swamp Deer. Enroute, visit Kaziranga Orchid and Bio-Diversity Park at Kaziranga National Park, the largest Orchid Park in India. Check into your hotel.

Day 4: Kaziranga Jungle Safari - Shillong

After breakfast get ready for your Jeep Safari. Our Safari agent will guide you as to which zone is best for that time. Later proceed to Shillong. Enroute visit Umiam Lake, Wards Lake, Don Bosco Museum. Arrive and check in. In the evening, walk around the market near Police Bazaar.

Day 5: Shillong - Cherrapunjee, Meghalaya

After breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee. Visit Elephant Falls, Mawkdok Valley, Garden of Caves, Seven Sister falls, Wei Sawdong Falls. Check into your hotel.

Day 6: Cherrapunjee - Double Decker Root Bridge

After breakfast get ready for a breath-taking adventure trek to the famous Double Decker Root Bridge. Enroute, visit Rainbow Falls, Sweet Falls and Tyrna Village. You can hire a guide for better experience. Evening free for leisure.

Day 7: Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong - Full Day Tour

After breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village of Asia. Enjoy a village tour. Evening free for leisure.

Day 8: Mawlynnong - Dawki - Jowai - Shillong

Morning after breakfast, checkout from hotel and proceed to visit Dawki (Umangot River) famous for its crystal-clear water. Continue to Jowai, a cultural and commercial pivot of the eastern region. Visit Krang Suri Falls, Laitlum Canyon. In the evening check into your hotel in Shillong.

Day 9: Shillong - Mawphlang - Mawsynram - Shillong

After breakfast visit the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, Khasi Heritage Village, Mawjymbuin Cave, Village of Mawsynram. Return to Shillong in the evening.

Day 10: Shillong - Guwahati (Assam) - approx. 130 kms / 3 hrs drive

After breakfast, proceed to Guwahati for your onward flight/ train.
