Half Day City Tour

Depart in the morning or afternoon and visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum where numerous remnants from the Stone Age, Neolithic Age, Hittites, Urartians, Phrygians and many others are on display; Visit the Citadel of Ankara and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the burial place of the national hero who founded the modern Republic of Turkiye (No lunch is served on this tour).

Hittite Sites

Duration: 11 hours
If the name of "City of a Thousand Gods" really arouses your interest then Hattusas is the place to be. Located in one of the most rugged territories in the central Anatolian region Hattusas used to be the political and the religious capital of the Hittite Empire. Depart in the morning and drive 208 km. to Hattusas visiting Yazilikaya enroute to see the open air sanctuary where the sun light falls directly on the bas-reliefs in the morning. Lunch at a small restaurant in the town nearby and visit the capital of Hattusas with Lion's Gate, Tunnel, King's Gate, Citadel and Grand Temple. Then drive back to Ankara.
