Overview: Enjoy the best cruise through 17th Century Amsterdam. Holland's capital has 160 canals and 1000 bridges. Cruise for an hour through a number of Amsterdam's canals and along the city's most beautiful spots. Whilst gliding through the old centre of the city, see elegant merchants' mansions, carillon-crowned churches and warehouses dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries; historic residential buildings, including the famous Anne Frank's House and renowned boat houses before returning to Holland International where the tour ends. The windows on the launches slide open to facilitate better photography.

Overview: This excursion brings you to the Zaanse Schans, an open air museum along the Zaan-river, just north of Amsterdam, with some 40 traditional timber houses, work-shops and windmills. At the turn of the 18th century, this region was an industrial area with about 700 windmills in use, but only 5 remain. The houses are made of timber, are painted green and have steep roofs and white windows. Visit a windmill and a wooden shoe factory. Before returning to Amsterdam, visit the medieval town of Edam. Edam is well known for its cheese, its narrow canals, bridges and antique shops.

Overview: Only a few km from Amsterdam, discover an entirely different world in the green flat Dutch countryside. Visit Volendam, the fisherman's village situated on the shores of the former Zuiderzee. Continue by boat to Marken, once an island, now connected to the mainland by a dike. Some people here still wear the colorful traditional costume (lace caps, wooden shoes and striped aprons, which are often presented as Holland's national costume) which has not changed since the 16th century. Visit a cheese farm, where cheese is still manufactured at home. On the return journey to Amsterdam, drive through typical Dutch scenery via Monnickendam, one of the dormant cities of the Zuiderzee.

In this 750 year old town, you will see the time-honored Dutch tradition of taste-testing and weighing cheese. Watch four teams from the Cheese Carrier's Guild compete for the fastest, faultless time, while handling tons of tender produce. Alkmaar is a wonderful old town with small streets and nice shops. Drive through low lying landscape to the windmill village of Zaanse Schans to visit a wooden shoe factory and a windmill (entrance fee included).

Overview: Start with a panoramic city tour. Stop to take a photo of a windmill and then visit the Diamond Exhibition, to see how rough stones become sparkling jewels. Board a boat to enjoy a leisurely cruise through Amsterdam's charming canals and the city's harbor. The tour ends in the 'Jordaan' quarter to visit the attic where a young Jewish girl, Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis during the Second World War.
