Overview: On your arrival at the Island the Rangitoto guide will escort you to the 4WD road-train for a journey of discovery. Learn about Rangitoto's fiery past and its amazing climate and its lush growth. Journey through the largest Pohutukawa forest in the world, a treasured fern glen and a rugged lava terrain, to the base of the summit. Walk 900 m along a scenic boardwalk to the top for a 360 degrees view of the Islands of the Hauraki Gulf. Return to the road train with the guide to continue the commented tour, taking in the southern side of the island and back for return sailing.

Overview: Coromandel Peninsula's amazing landscape consists of mountainous, forest-covered backbone, with the Pacific Ocean on the east and the Hauraki Gulf on the west. Drive along the spectacular western coast line to Coromandel town. Ride the mountain railway through the rugged landscape. Drive through the pristine rainforest and stop to view old kauri trees. Continue to the east coast, stop at Hot Water Beach's hot spring and take a dip. Next stop is Cathedral Cove, where the Pacific Ocean washes onto a white sandy beach backed by white cliffs. You could also walk downhill to the beach (subject to guide discretion).
