Day 1: Amsterdam – City Tour
Arrive Amsterdam/Schiphol airport and check in at your hotel. Enjoy a city tour by coach with a local guide. See the Royal Palace on Dam Square, the National Monument, the Skinny Bridge, the Albert Cuyp market and the 17th century houses along the canals. Enjoy a guided visit to the Rijksmuseum to see the masterpieces of Vermeer, Rembrandt, Steen and other famous Dutch artists of the Golden Age. Enjoy a buffet candlelight dinner cruise on the canals. Overnight.
Day 2: Amsterdam – Keukenhof Gardens & Leiden Visit
After breakfast, visit the famous Keukenhof gardens in Lisse (from 21/03-20/05/13) to see millions of blooming flower bulbs and fantastic flower shows. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon enjoy a guided visit to Leiden. In the Golden Age, Leiden was the second most important city in the Netherlands with all of its wealth and academic fame. Overnight.
Day 3: Amsterdam – Delft & Rotterdam Visit
After breakfast, guided visit to Delft, home of the famous blue and white Delftware pottery. See the Prinsenhof Museum, Royal Delft, the Old and New Church and the Vermeer centre. In the afternoon enjoy a guided visit of Rotterdam harbor, the biggest port in Europe. During a boat trip, see the gigantic throughput facilities and the inner-city docklands which are being transformed into attractive, lively areas. Overnight.
Day 4: Amsterdam – Antwerp - City Tour
After breakfast, drive to Antwerp, Belgium's 2nd largest city and the world's diamond centre. It is the city of PP Rubens, world-famous master of the 17th c. Enjoy a city tour including the Cathedral, Belgium's largest Gothic church, which contains two of Rubens' masterworks: "The Erection of and the Descent from the Cross". In the afternoon visit the House of Rubens and the Diamond Museum. Overnight.
Day 5: Antwerp – City Tour of Brussels
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Brussels with a guided visit to a chocolate manufacturer, see the famous Grand'Place, the city hall and guild houses, St. Michaels' Cathedral and all the important sights. In the afternoon, visit Mechelen the capital of the Burgundian Netherlands, most renowned for its churches: the gothic Cathedral of St Rumbold and the Grand Beguinage, a historical quarter where semi-monastic women known as Beguines used to live. (World Heritage Site of UNESCO). Visit the famous Carillion school and enjoy the sound of these instruments. Overnight in Antwerp.
Day 6: Antwerp – Ghent & Bruges Visit
Breakfast. Morning guided visit of Ghent to see the St. Bavo cathedral with its famous painting 'The Mystic Lamb', the historic inner medieval city, St. Michels Bridge, the guild houses and the castle of the Counts of Flanders. In the afternoon, visit Bruges and enjoy a canal boat ride. See the Lake of Love and the Beguinage, Our Lady church with the famous statue of Michelangelo, the Market and the Burg Square and the Holy Blood chapel. Visit a local beer brewery. Overnight in Antwerp.
Day 7: Antwerp – Namur - Luxemburg
Breakfast. Morning guided visit of Namur includes a visit to the Citadel. The famous citadel - one of the mightiest fortresses of Europe contains an excellent museum. Important sights are also the Archaeological Museum, the Musée des Arts Anciens du Namurois and the former Convent of the Sisters of Notre-Dame, which contains the treasure from the monastery of Oignies. In the afternoon enjoy a boat trip from Dinant to Freyr and a guided visit of the Castle and Gardens of Freyr. Starting in 1760, the Renaissance gardens were redrawn in classical style condusive to meditation. Overnight.
Day 8: Luxemburg – City Tour
Breakfast. In the morning enjoy a guided tour of Luxemburg. The Luxembourg Fortress changed hands many times. An extraordinary network of 23 km of underground galleries, carved from the city's rocks constitute the city's main attraction. The Grand-Ducal palace, has a beautiful facade in Flemish Renaissance style. The majestic interior and ceremonial rooms are open to the public during summer only. Afternoon at leisure to explore on your own. Overnight.
Day 9: Luxemburg
After breakfast, transfer to Luxemburg airport.
