Welcome to London, the vibrant capital of Britain. In the evening, you can enjoy a thrilling ride (optional) on the tallest ferris wheel, the British Airways London Eye and see the major landmarks of London. Overnight.
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy the famous landmarks of London with the Hop on Hop off Tour. You can see the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, St.Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace, see majestic Big Ben, feed the pigeons at famous Trafalgar Square. Don't miss seeing the British Crown Jewels on your visit to the Tower of London. Overnight.
After breakfast, board your train to York a city surrounded by three national parks. Take an evening stroll along the solid Roman walls that circle the city, for a bird's eye view, OR try The Ghost Hunt of York, where you can visit York's most haunted locations. OR walk the Shambles, York's best-preserved medieval street, with an amazing array of independent boutiques. Visit the famous York Dungeon. Overnight.
After breakfast, you have the option of taking a train to Whitby on your own. Discover the legends of smugglers, Dracula and whaling at Whitby, a traditional maritime seaside town. Visit spectacular 2000 year old Whitby Abbey, inspiration for Bram Stoker, author of Dracula. Climb down 190 steps to the old town with shops selling antiques, crafts, and jewellery. Overnight.
After breakfast, board your train to Windermere, England's largest lake in the Lake District where you can enjoy a scenic boat ride on your own. Overnight.
After breakfast, spend the day at leisure to explore the Lake District area. Overnight at Windermere.
After breakfast, board your train to Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city. Enjoy a city tour visiting the old & new towns, Stirling Castle, the Royal Mile, Carleton Hill. Overnight.
After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day tour to Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands. Stop for coffee at Callander, the gateway to the Trossachs. Arrive Glencoe, which is stunningly beautiful. Pass under Britain's highest mountain Ben Nevis. Take a cruise on the Loch (not included) and perhaps even catch a glimpse of Nessie! Stop to taste some whisky at a distillery before heading back to Edinburgh. Overnight.
After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour. Drive past Linlithgow, the summer Palace of the Stewart Dynasty, and birthplace of the famous Mary Stuart Queen of Scots. Enjoy lunch on the shores of bonnie Loch Lomond. Take a short stroll in the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park. Finally, enjoy a visit to one of Scotland's finest whisky distilleries, Glengoyne (not included). Overnight.
