Naples – Capri – Sorrento – Positano – Ravello – Naples
Day 1: Naples
On arrival in Naples, a private car will transfer you to your hotel. The day is free to relax. Naples is the city where Pizza originally came from so you'll find lots of great pizza places but be sure you look for one with a wood-burning oven! Overnight.
Day 2: Capri & Anacapri
After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion to Capri & Anacapri. From the harbor board the Jet boat for the 45 minute crossing to Marina Grande, the port of Capri. Then board a motorboat to visit the famous Blue Grotto. Later, enjoy a panoramic tour of Capri Island eventually arriving at Anacapri situated at 280 meters above sea level from where you will have a wonderful view of the bay of Naples. Rest of the day is free for you to explore Capri on your own. Enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner at the Ristorante Terrazza Brunella, a beautiful terrace-restaurant of "Villa Brunella" hotel, one of the most lovely locations on the Amalfi coast. The restaurant serves superb local Mediterranean cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. Overnight.
Day 3: Capri – Naples – Sorrento
After breakfast, morning is at leisure. In the afternoon take a ferry back to Naples and proceed by car to Sorrento. This small town is wonderfully located over steep white cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. It lies on a Tufa terrace and is enclosed by impressive rocks of the Limestone Mountains. For 2000 years visitors from all over the world have been attracted to Sorrento with its breathtaking sunsets and fragrances of orange and lemon gardens. Check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the tiny Ristorante di Leva a characteristic restaurant located in the heart of the old fisherman village of Marina Grande. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, you can try the typical Sorrentine cuisine. It is a favorite of actress Sophia Loren who made a movie here, where the owner prepares her specialty Spaghetti Vongole. Or enjoy fine dining at the Don Alfonso at Sant d'Agata, with its lofty cliff top setting, 7 km from Sorrento. Overnight.
Day 4: Sorrento – Pompeii & Amalfi Coast Excursion
After a sumptuous breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion to the Roman city of Pompeii, buried by the lava and cinders of the Vesuvio's eruption in 79B.C.The Pompeii excavations are a real travel back to 2000 years ago.Continue to the enchanting Amalfi Coast, stopping at Madonnina(above Positano) to admire the landscape. Spend an hour here and then return to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 5: Sorrento – Positano
After breakfast, proceed to Positano, in the Campania region on the Amalfi Coast. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring this beautiful seaside town on your own. It has several churches of interest, most notably the Duomo by the beach, with its green and gold dome. The white-and-gold interior is airy and attractive and merits a visit. Enjoy dinner on your own at one of the seafront restaurants. Overnight.
Day 6: Positano – Ravello
After breakfast depart for Ravello. Between the Valley del Dragone and the Valley della Regina, up a panoramic narrow road, which twists up from the coast towards the mountains, is Ravello. Its dominating position on the hill top offers a spectacular view over the whole of the Amalfi Coast. After checking in at the hotel, explore the town on your own. Overnight.
Day 7: Ravello – City Tour
After breakfast, we shall proceed for our guided tour of this beautiful town and see its wealth of art works, well preserved in numerous ecclesiastical buildings such as the Cathedral of St Pantaleone (Patron Saint of the town), which is striking because of its marble work; the adjacent bell tower, the Church of St Martino, the Church of St Angelo and the Church of St Giovanni del Toro.
The heart of Ravello is the Piazza Vescovado, with the Castle ruins, the Cathedral and Palazzo Rufolo. Villa Rufolo, not to be missed, houses much of the art of Ravello. It is surrounded by splendid gardens, where numerous musical and cultural events are held. Villa Cimbrone is also well worth a visit. Overnight.
Day 8: Ravello – Naples
After breakfast transfer by private car to Naples airport/train station.
