Day 1: Moscow - City Tour
Welcome to Russia! Upon arrival in Moscow airport, your personal guide will meet you in the arrival area and transfer you to your hotel.
After check in and brief time to refresh, begin your city tour. Drive past squares and prospects, old streets and beautiful buildings ranging from modern skyscrapers to the old styled Stalin’s buildings like the famous “7 sisters.” The tour stops at the most interesting places for you to take memorable photos e.g. “Sparrow Hills” (Vorobyovy Gory) with an observation platform, 80m above sea level with a fine view of Moscow. End the tour with dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 2: Moscow - Walking Tour
Be ready to walk quite a bit today! Start with the Moscow metro, also known as the Underground Palace, and tour the most interesting and beautiful stations.
Visit the Red Square, its monuments embodying the centuries-old history of Moscow: St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum, luxury GUM department store and the newly built Zaryadye Park. Go over the red walls of the Kremlin and visit its territory and cathedrals. Next, walk toward Old Arbat, one of the main tourist venues with its incredible history and atmosphere where you will have lunch at an Indian restaurant.
After lunch, walk along the main and largest orthodox cathedral in Russia the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Continue the tour and walk back to the Old Arbat. Enjoy some free time to buy souvenirs and see streets artists and musicians. End the tour with delicious dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to your hotel by metro. Overnight.
Day 3: Moscow – Golden Ring. Vladimir & Suzdal
Today, drive to Vladimir and Suzdal, top tourist attractions and part of the Golden Ring.
Vladimir has a rich history as the capital of Orthodox Russia in the past. Visit its major attractions: the Golden Gates, the magnificent five-domed Assumption Cathedral and the warrior-like Cathedral of Saint Demetrius. Then visit one of the most beautiful churches in Russia - Church on the Nerl River. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant where you may try traditional Russian cuisine. After lunch, hit the road to Suzdal, enjoying beautiful landscapes, hills and green meadows enroute.
Suzdal, one of the oldest Russian towns, has the ambience of mediaeval life in Russia. Visit the Suzdal Kremlin to enjoy panoramic views of the city and its architectural wonders. Wander around traditional wooden houses of the Museum of Wooden Architecture. After dinner, return to Moscow. Overnight.
Day 4: Moscow – Shopping – Russian Circus
Morning at leisure. After lunch in an Indian restaurant, go shopping. As one of the world’s priciest cities, Moscow is pretty diverse when it comes to shopping. From top-of-the range brands to high-street fashion, Russia’s capital has something for every budget. Most of the city’s shopping centers are attractions in their own way: Vnukovo Outlet Village, Clothing market "Sadovod", Europeysky, Afimall, Okhotny Ryad malls and Izmailovo Market.
In the evening, visit the famous Russian Circus where acrobats, dangerous animals and the funniest clowns will entertain you. Have dinner at an Indian restaurant and return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 5: Moscow - St. Petersburg – City Tour
This morning, check out and proceed to Leningradsky railway to board the speed train Sapsan for St. Petersburg. One of the world's most beautiful cities is also known as the “Cultural Capital" of Russia. Nearly every house here is a masterpiece, and many buildings are under UNESCO patronage. The city is full of museums, theatres and cathedrals.
On arrival, an English-speaking guide will be waiting for you at the platform. After lunch at an Indian restaurant, proceed to your hotel to check in and relax a bit. Then enjoy the city tour. See the main architectural and historical monuments, take a ride along its main streets and prospects enjoying splendid sights: numerous palaces and cathedrals, rivers and channels, bridges and parks. Finish the tour at an Indian restaurant for dinner and return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 6: St. Petersburg - Walking Tour along Nevsky Prospekt and Surroundings
Another walking tour is waiting for you today. Nevsky Prospekt is the heart and soul of St. Petersburg, running right through the center of the city. Visit Kazansky Cathedral, one of the largest in Saint Petersburg, is dedicated to Our Lady of Kazan, probably the most venerated icon in Russia. St. Isaac’s and Church on the Spilled Blood are situated not far from the prospect. Walk on some beautiful bridges and pass Griboedov Canal, Fontanka River, Moyka Rifer.
Have lunch at an Indian restaurant and continue to Palace Square and world famous Heritage museum. The Winter Palace was the official residence of the Russian monarchs from 1732 to 1917. It includes grand halls and chambers, antiquities of Eurasia and the East, paintings, sculptures, and decorative art works. See the beautiful summer garden and the Summer Palace that was the first Emperor's residence. All these constitute a single museum complex.
See the Field of Mars, a large park named after Mars, the Roman god of war. After dinner at an Indian restaurant return to your hotel by metro. Overnight.
Day 7: St. Petersburg - Peterhof Palace & Park
Start with a boat trip this morning to see the city from the water. Cruise through the historic center, following the Fontanka River, the Moika River, the Winter Channel, and a bit of the River Neva. After lunch at an Indian restaurant drive to Peterhof, one of the world's most famous palace-park ensembles and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Admire its golden fountains, decadent interior decorations, fine art, gardens and more. After few hours, return to the city for dinner at an Indian restaurant. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 8: St. Petersburg - Russian Village “Shuvalovka” & Krandshtadt
Today learn about Russian traditions and culture. Visit Shuvalovka village enjoy a sightseeing tour try your hand at as folk crafts like modeling and painting with clay, painting matryoshka dolls, traditional weaving of puppet dolls and wood painting under the guidance of experienced craftsmen. Take back all the souvenirs you created. Enjoy lunch at Russian house “Izba” with local meals.
After lunch, visit Kronstadt constructed as a naval fortress and a base of the Russian Baltic Fleet. As a monument of fortification, Kronstadt is included in the UNESCO’s list of the World Heritage Objects. Have dinner and return to hotel to pack as tomorrow is departure day.
Day 9: St. Petersburg - Departure
Check out after a farewell breakfast. Make sure that you take your passports and immigration forms from the hotel reception. Also provide time for individual payment at the reception for extra room charge. Your guide will transfer you to Pulkovo International airport. Return home with wonderful memories!
