Enchanting Carnival 2020 - 8 Days
Day 1: Rio de Janeiro
On your arrival in Rio de Janeiro you will be met with our represntative and transfered to the hotel of your choice. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast. Excursion to the Sugar Loaf & City Tour (4 hours). You will go all the way up to the top, in two steps by cable car, from where you'll enjoy the beautiful view of Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana beach, the bay, the surrounding mountains, the islands in the ocean and Rio’s landmark – the Chirst Redeemer. After this amazing experience you’ll go to the city center and the old town of Rio, with its antique churches, the main cathedral of the city, as well as buildings built in colonial style. Rest of the evening is at lesiure. Overnight.
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast. Free time. We advise you to relax and prepare for the big Carnival party coming up! A fantastic evening is waiting for you – Rio’s famous Carnival! You will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the Sambodromo where Brazil’s biggest party takes place. You will be able to be part of this huge festival and watch the representatives of the best Samba Schools of Brazil dancing and singing in front of you in their marvelous colorful costumes. The energy coming from the passers-by can be felt in every inch of the venue, and you will definitely fall for it. Sing along with the coral, dance to the drums, get excited with each School and emotional with it’s components, all this and more. You can enjoy this mind-blowing show the whole night – as long as you want to! You also have the option to be taken back to your hotel – in case you are too tired - after every samba school. Overnight.
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro
Tour to Corcovado Mountain + Crist the Redeemer Statue (4 hours)
After breakfast you’ll set off on a tour through the city. Arriving at the station, where the environmentally friendly train will take you through the jungle to the top of Corcovado. On either side of the railway you will have spectacular views of the Tijuca forest, inhabited by monkeys and other exotic animals and birds. At the top of Corcovado, at an altitude of 700 m above sea level, stands the landmark of Rio – the Statue of Christ the Redeemer (38m), which was built in 1931. You will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the metropolis and its environs Bridge Niteroi, Guanabara Bay, the Botanical Garden, the world's largest soccer stadium, Sugar Loaf, and more is possible from the top of Corcovado. Overnight.
Day 5: Rio de Janeiro – Foz do Iguaçu Falls
Breakfast at the hotel; Transfer to the airport, flight to Foz de Iguacu, where you will be picked up and taken to your hotel of your choice.
Day 6: Foz do Iguaçu
After breakfast in your hotel an unforgettable adventure awaits you at the Iguazu falls Brazilian side. “Breathtaking, spectacular and not to be missed” The Falls are one of the great natural wonders of the world and located in the National Park with its unique flora and fauna, on the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The area is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, which consists of 275 separate falls; the highest fall, which is called “Devil's Throat”, reaches 70m, which is 1,5x the height of the Niagara Falls. It represents one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the planet and it has unrivalled natural richness.
You will start your tour to the Brazilian site of the magnificent Falls. The Iguaçu National Park, Brazil is at 25 kilometers from Foz do Iguaçu city. It has a 1 kilometer long walkway from which the 275 falls can be seen from a front panoramic view. The splashes coming from the falling water make you feel the falls grandeur and cover the sky with thousands of rainbows. In the evening, you will be transferred to your hotel with an English-speaking guide.
Optional: Helicopter flight over the Waterfalls
Discover this amazing miracle of nature from the air. You will fly over Cataratas and the National Park via helisight. The tour takes you for flying over the worlds’ widest falls! The picture is stunning, and the tourist will get the best photographs of this nature show. The flyby allows the visitor to have a sense of the scale of the landscape, making the most different emotions arise.
Day 7: Foz do Iguaçu
Good morning! After a delicious breakfast in your hotel, our guide will pick you up for a full day adventure to the Argentinian Side of the Iguazu National park. The Argentinean side is very different from the Brazilian one; there are the three trails leading you through the nature in the park:
The Lower Circuit: venture into the lush jungle to take direct contact with the breaking of the Dos Hermanas, Chico and Ramirez.
The Upper Circuit: elevated runways will take you on the fall line of several major jumps, reaching the edge thereof.
The Devil's Throat: Accessed through the Rainforest with the Ecological Train arriving at the Devil's Throat Station. From there, after a 1,000 meters walk, you will reach the enormous 'Devil's Throat'.
You will walk around next to the falls to have a close look of the falls. You can feel the strength of the water and enjoy the 55.500 hectares of natural beauty!
In the evening your driver will drive you back to your hotel.
Day 8: Foz do Iguaçu – Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro and then back home!
