Overview: Experience a most spectacular glacier environment, get up close to the glacier and touch snow. Lift off and fly up and over the Franz Josef to the snow-field at the head of the glacier. Overview: Depart Fox Glacier Village, fly over the legendary Fox Glacier and snowfields and watch the crevasses and ice forms race by below you. Land in the snow above the icefalls of the glacier and experience the magnitude of the scenery surrounding you. Aoraki (Mount Cook) will amaze you as you explore its majestic west face, before descending down into the valleys below.

Overview: Combine an awesome scenic helicopter flight over Franz Josef Glacier with a unique guided walk amongst the ice caves, pinnacles and seracs of this pristine alpine environment. You'll see the extraordinary colors of the ice-flow from above, and then up close, on an unforgettable hike amongst the glacial ice formations with professional and experienced guides.

Overview: Departing Franz Josef town, travel northwards through magnificent bush scenery and past the beautiful Lakes Mapourika and Ianthe, and lush farmland, to the township of Hokitika famous for its Greenstone (Jade) factory. Have a short refreshment break at Hokitika (own expense). Travel alongside the Tasman Sea for magnificent coastal views before arriving at Greymouth, the largest city on the West Coast.

Overview: Discover rugged scenery along one of the most awe-inspiring highways, past breathtaking sights, vast rainforest to the clearest waterfalls. Continue through the Haast Pass, the southernmost pass between the East and West coast. View high mountain peaks, blue lakes of Hawea, Wanaka, Dunston, and Wakatipu. Stop at picturesque Paringa, Haast township, a heart of rainforest/wetlands, Makarora in the majestic Southern Alps for coffee break (own expense).

Overview: Travel alongside the Tasman Sea for spectacular coastal views to the small town of Hokitika, famous for its Greenstone (Jade) factory. Take a short refreshment break at Hokitika (own expense). Continue south through farmland and magnificent mountain bush scenery, with the coast on one side and the mountains on the other. Travel past beautiful Lakes Ianthe and Mapourika to Franz Josef Township, the stepping off centre to visit the famous Franz Josef Glacier.
