Day 1: St. Moritz

Arrive in St. Moritz by train. Time at leisure for optional sightseeing and excursions. St. Moritz is in the Upper Engadine, at an elevation of 1,856m. Its modern Alpine lifestyle is characterised by top-class restaurants, hotels of all categories, great shopping in Via Serlas and local specialities like the famous Engadine nut tart.

Day 2: St. Moritz

Breakfast. Enjoy a full day at leisure in and around St.Moritz. In summer, hotels in St. Moritz offer free travel on various Upper Engadine mountain railways. Our favourite is an unforgettable trip to the Diavolezza.

Day 3: St. Moritz – Glacier Express to Zermatt (8 hrs)

Breakfast. Today the highlight of your whole journey awaits. Travel in the Excellence Class of the Glacier Express. The Glacier Express is one of the greatest train journeys in the world. Travel across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2033 meters in altitude. Travel in comfort through the un-spoilt natural beauty of a landscape rich in ancient, fragrant mountain forests, peaceful Alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys, soaked in tradition and centuries-old culture.
The location of Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn and in the middle of an enormous hiking and ski region makes it one of the world's most attractive vacation villages. The ski region encompasses 54 mountain railways and lifts as well as 360 km of pistes. The region called "Matterhorn glacier paradise" is Europe's largest and highest lying summer skiing region.

Day 4: Zermatt – Optional Excursions

Breakfast. Enjoy a full day at leisure in Zermatt. We suggest an excursion to the Gornergrat. On its summit, enjoy a superb panoramic view of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and many other snow-capped peaks rising to above 4000m. Or take the aerial cableway to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise at 3883m.

Day 5: Zermatt

Breakfast. Time at leisure in Zermatt and individual return journey. This tour can also be booked in the opposite direction.
