Duration: 4 Hours Overview: The tour begins with a visit to Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. This is one of the great photo opportunities in the Canadian Rockies. Then cross the Great Divide through the Kicking Horse Pass to arrive in Yoho National Park. After a scenic stop at the Spiral Tunnels, continue to the magnificent Yoho Valley and Takkakaw Falls. This scenic return trip arrives back in Lake Louise in the late afternoon.
Rockies Discovery & Glacier Experience
Duration: 7 Hours 50 Minutes Overview: Travel the Icefield Parkway through the heart of the Canadian Rockies making scenic stops at the Crowfoot Glacier, glacier fed Peyto Lake and the Big Hill viewpoint before arriving at the Columbia Icefield Centre. After lunch on your own, ride the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier, a part of North America's largest body of ice south of the Arctic Circle. This spectacular location is unforgettable. A scenic return trip to Lake Louise arrives in the late afternoon.
White Water Rafting on Kicking Horse River
Duration:Varies. Choose between half day and full day tour Overview: Enjoy a day of thrills and heart-pumping action on a Kicking Horse River whitewater rafting tour. The Kicking Horse River runs through the Yoho National Park, and in addition to its natural rafting conditions, it also contains man-made "spiral tunnels" to enhance your whitewater rafting experience. While on the river, keep your eye out for wildlife including mountain goats, elk, wolverines, bald eagles and more!
All 3 tour options are well-suited for all experience and fitness levels; you must be a minimum height of 4'11" (149.8 cm) and weight of 41 kg:
Kicking Horse Classic:
Your day begins on the calmer sections of the Kicking Horse River. Spend the morning rolling along glacial waters and learning to work as a team. Following your riverside BBQ lunch, your afternoon is spent tackling the Class 3 and Class 4 rapids of the Middle Canyon.
Kicking Horse Challenge:
This Challenge offers the most rapids and the most complete river experience. You will begin on the upper reaches of the river, sharpening your paddling skills and learning to work as a team. Following your riverside BBQ lunch, 22 km of whitewater lie ahead in the Middle and Lower canyons.
