Overview: The Montreal Tower Observatory is in the highest inclined tower in the world, with an elevation of 575 feet and 45-degree angle. The Tower of Pisa, by comparison, has a 5-degree angle. You reach the Observatory by a 2-level glass funicular. The trip to the top takes approximately 2 minutes.
On a clear day, you can see up to 80 km all around, including the Laurentian Mountains. The Montreal Tower is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers, next to, among others, the CN Tower in Toronto, the Empire State Building in New York and the Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur.
