Day 1: Pretoria, S. Africa

3 pm: Depart Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria and travel south towards the goldfields of the Witwatersrand. (Breakfast 7-10am • Lunch 1 pm • Tea 4.30 pm • Dinner 7.30 pm)

Day 2: Kimberley – Upington, S. Africa

9.45 am: Arrive Kimberley for Big Hole and Diamond Museum. 12.30 pm: Depart for Upington and travel the Karoo semi-desert.

Day 3: Upington – Holoog, Namibia

8 am: Enjoy an optional two-hour walking tour of Upington. 11 pm: Arrive at Holoog after border formalities at Nakop.

Day 4: Holoog – Keetmashoop

8 am: Enjoy a one-hour transfer to visit the Fish River Canyon. 11 am: Depart for Keetmanshoop, traversing the Kalahari Desert. 3 pm: Take an optional two-hour walking tour of Keetmanshoop. Depart for Windhoek.

Day 5: Windhoek - Sossusvelei

9 am: Arrive in Windhoek for a city tour. 11 am: Depart in light aircraft for 1-hour flight to Sossusvlei for lunch, desert drive, bush dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Sossusvlei – Windhoek – Tsumeb

6 am: Sossusvlei drive with breakfast in the vlei. 12 pm: Depart Sossusvlei for one-hour flight to Windhoek. 2 pm: Depart Windhoek and travel north towards Tsumeb and the game-rich Etosha National Park.

Day 7: Tsumeb – Etosha National Park

11 am: At Tsumeb, transfer to Mokuti Lodge and Etosha National Park for lunch, game drive and overnight.

Day 8: Etosha National Park – Atlantic

6 am: Early morning game drive in the Etosha National Park. 1pm: Enjoy lunch on board en route to the Atlantic.

Day 9: Namib – Swakopmund

7 am: Enjoy breakfast as the train traverses the Namib. 12 pm: Arrive at Swakopmund.
