Multicultural Kensington Market & Chinatown Walking Tour

Duration: 4 Hours
Overview: Urban Adventures is the city tour with a difference! Explore Chinatown and Kensington Market, the most colorful and multi-cultural neighborhoods in Toronto and sample both local and international delicacies as you wander the often crowded streets lined with unique vendors and specialty shops. The neighborhood was a working-class Jewish market which evolved into a bohemian market and one of Canada's largest Chinese communities. Several waves of immigrant settlement over the past 100 years have splashed colors, sounds, and flavors from the world throughout Kensington Market, and yet there is not a McDonald's or Starbucks to be seen. Bare brick walls have long been covered with graffiti murals - and much of it is stunning. Hang around Kensington Market on your own for a while after your tour to pick up some vintage or one-of-a-kind souvenirs or gifts.
