Kon-tiki Museum

Overview: The Kon-Tiki Museum is located in Bygdøy, just a few minutes from the city centre of Oslo. The museum is a private foundation and houses original vessels and objects from Thor Heyerdahl's world famous expeditions. Here you can see the balsa raft Kon -Tiki with a 30 foot whale shark underneath. You can see the papyrus boat Ra II and an exciting collection of archaeological finds from Easter Island, East Polynesia, Galapagos and Peru. In addition, the museum has a film room showing continuous short films from Thor Heyerdahl's expeditions.

Grand Tour of Oslo

Overview: Visit the world's oldest ski museum where 4000 years of skiing history are illustrated with rock carvings, skis from the time of the Vikings and skis from various parts of Norway. Also see modern racing and cross-country skis, as well as skis used by athletes throughout the last century.

A snowboard exhibition illustrates this new trend in winter sports. The museum is situated inside the actual Holmenkollen ski jump and from the top of the ski jump tower, which is 60 meters from the ground and 417 meters above the sea level; you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Oslo and the Fjord below.

Oslo City Tour

Duration: 5 hours
Overview: This half day tour offers a more comprehensive sightseeing experience. First you will board a traditional sailing ship which cruises past the Opera House, the picturesque islands and the inner part of the Oslo Fjord. A panoramic drive by coach around the major sites of Oslo and visits the Sculpture Park, the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, the Vikingship, the Norwegian Folk Museum and the Kon-Tiki Raft is also included in the tour.
