Then you will stop by Gordes, the village perched on the edge of the plateau of Vaucluse in Luberon. Finally, visit the Lavender Museum. See a demonstration of distillation during the harvest (from July to August).

Overview: Drive through the village of St Remy, symbolizing the essence of Provence, with its fountains, alleyways and boulevards shaded by plane trees. After a stop at 'Les Antiques', a Gallo-Roman settlement, see the sites painted by Van Gogh when he lived at St Paul de Mausole.
Continue to Les Baux de Provence village in its spectacular setting of a bare rock spur with vertical ravines on either side. See the ruined castle. After visiting the medieval village of Fontvielle, enjoy a walking tour of Arles to see the arenas, Antic Theatre and other main sites painted by Van Gogh during his stay in Arles. You will have free time for lunch in a provincial market.

Overview: Pick up from your hotel in Avignon can be arranged. This tour includes a visit to the famous Pont du Gard, the remains of a 1st Century AD Roman aqueduct. Overview: This guided tour will allow you to discover the wines of the Rhone Valley. Enjoy visiting the vineyards with stops at two different wineries producing red, rose and white wines, where you will have the chance to taste them (including Chateauneuf du Pape). During the tour your guide will explain about terroir, grape varieties, vinification and aging cellars. Also, get in touch with French history, with great views of castles and mansions dating back from the 17th or 18th century.

In the morning you'll have a scenic drive in the vineyards around Chateauneuf du Pape, explanations about 'terroir', grape varieties, vinification and aging cellars, and of course wine tasting at two wineries with explanations on how to taste the wine.
