St. Petersburg Package - 6 days

Day 1: St. Petersburg

Arrive in St Petersburg. You will be met at the airport for your transfer to the hotel. After check in at the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city on your own. Overnight.

Day 2: St. Petersburg- City Tour and St. Peter & Paul Fortress

Breakfast. Enjoy a full day tour followed with an excursion to Peter and Paul Fortress. See the major places of interests; architectural and historical sights and monuments like Palace Square, the Winter Palace (former residence of Russian Tsars), St. Isaac's Square (monument to Nicholas I), Decembrists' Square, the Square of Arts, the Field of Mars, the Summer Garden, the Marble Palace, Michael's Castle, the Church of Our Savior (outside), the cruiser Aurora (a revolutionary monument), the Spit of Basil's Island (architectural ensemble of the early 19th century as well as the former trade port of St. Petersburg), the Hermitage and the Admiralty. You will also pass by Nevsky Prospect - the main boulevard of St Petersburg. Visit St Peter & Paul Fortress, the first structure in St Petersburg, built to protect Peter the Great's northern city from the threat of Swedish attacks and now the emblem of the city and the resting place of many of the Romanov dynasty. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 3: St. Petersburg – Hermitage Tour

Breakfast. This morning, proceed for a half day tour of the Hermitage, world famous museum of Fine Arts. The Hermitage was founded on the original 18th century collection of Empress Catherine the Great and is housed in the magnificent Baroque Winter Palace (the main residence of the Russian Tzars of the Romanov Dynasty) and three other majestic buildings along the Neva River embankment - Small Hermitage, Old Hermitage and New Hermitage. Lunch on your own. Rest of the day at leisure.

In the evening you visit the Nikolaevsky Palace restaurant where you discover traditional Russian dance and music during an elegant reception. The beautiful ladies will showcase the traditional classical and folk songs of Russia. During the interval, classical music known worldwide is performed by a string quartette along with refreshments. Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 4: St. Petersburg - Tsarskoye Selo Excursion

Breakfast. In the morning proceed on a guided half day excursion to Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin) - one of the summer residences of Russian Tsars, with visits to the Catharine's Palace with Amber room and park. Lunch on your own. Rest of the day is at leisure. Shopping can be one of the options that you may want to explore. St. Petersburg has a growing number of stores offering a variety of goods and services including everything from hand-made arts, crafts, and souvenirs to fresh fruits and vegetables. Shopping along the city's festive main thoroughfare, Nevsky Prospekt offers the best variety of stores in the city. Bolshoi Prospekt on Vasilyevsky Island also offers a comparatively good selection of stores.

A trip to St. Petersburg is incomplete without a visit to the Mariinsky Theatre for a ballet. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 5: St. Petersburg- City Tour

Breakfast. This morning, proceed for half day tour of the Grand Palace and Pavlovsk Park, St. Petersburg's historical Imperial Estate just 29 km from the city. Named after Paul I, who received the park grounds as a gift from his mother Catherine the Great in 1777, Pavlovsk is home to the Grand Palace and hundreds of acres of densely forested parkland. Located along the picturesque valley of the Slavyanka River, the extensive park is dotted with small pavilions and architectural follies. The dense Birch forest and the numerous inter-linking paths and the brooks and tributary streams of the Slavyanka that cover it make the park a wonderful setting for a long walk. Return to the hotel. Rest of the day is on your own. Overnight.

Day 6: St. Petersburg

Breakfast. Transfer to railway station or airport for your flight back home.
