Overview: Travel south from Taormina up the slopes of Mt. Etna. Arriving at 1,900 meters you will have time to explore the Craters of Silvestri. Spend some time for lunch, trekking and plenty of photo opportunities to capture pictures of this majestic active volcano. You will also be given an opportunity to ascend to the main crater by cable car and jeep (payment on the spot).

Overview: Take this one day excursion by bus with a tour leader and local guide and visit the extensive Archaeological Area of Siracusa with its Greek Theatre, the Latomie's with Dionysius Ear. Overview: From Taormina travel to Alcantara, a natural wonderland of scenic gorges. Proceed to Randazzo, the closest town to the summit of Mt. Etna, to visit the 13th century Cathedral of Santa Maria and a typical Sunday market. Continue to Etna Nord at 1,800 meters on the slopes of the volcano. There will be time for lunch, trekking and viewing the craters of Silvestri. Overview: Enjoy this one day excursion through Sicily by bus with tour leader and a local guide. Palermo is the capital of both the autonomous region of Sicily and the Province of Palermo. The city is noted for its history, culture, architecture and gastronomy; it is over 2,700 years old. Palermo is in the northwest of the island by the Gulf of Palermo in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Arrive in Palermo and discover the most important Arab-Norman monuments such as the Martorana Church and the Cathedral. After lunch (optional), proceed to Cefalu and visit the historical centre with its beautiful Cathedral and seafront, immortalized in the film "Cinema Paradiso".

Overview: Of all the places in Italy to see mummies and skeletons, Palermo's Catacombe dei Cappuccini is one of the creepiest. From the 16th century until as late as 1920, corpses were sent here for "burial" wearing their finest clothes. On view are hundreds of mummies in various states of decay. This bizarre and haunting exhibit is not for the faint of heart.

Overview: The island capital sits on the north shore of Sicily, within a short drive of several fabulous beaches. West of the city are the beaches of San Vito lo Capo, Isola delle Femmine and Mondello, which is where the annual beach festival is held in May. East of Palermo are a slew of resorts and public beaches on the way to Cefalù. Within Palermo, among residential buildings, is the small beach of Arenella.

Overview: A spectacular full day tour to visit two of the most important classical sights in Italy. First to Agrigento on the Southern coast of Sicily where the evocative temples of Juno, Concordia, Hercules, Zeus and others rise up majestically amidst the Mediterranean countryside. In the afternoon continue to Piazza Armerina where the Roman "Villa del Casale" is located. The mosaic floors within the villa are among the most impressive selection of Roman mosaics in the world. On leaving Piazza Armerina, return to Taormina.
