Private Tour: Sitka Highlights Sightseeing Cruise

Duration: 60 Minutes
Overview: Experience the perfect introduction to Sitka on this private one-hour sightseeing cruise with a local boat captain. Your hour will be spent cruising the calm waters of Sitka Sound on a quiet, heated, 27-foot boat. The boat has a heated cabin, indoor marine head and comfortable seating, in addition to ample outside deck space. Your captain is not only licensed by the United States Coast Guard, but is also a fish and wildlife biologist. See Sitka's beautiful waterfront and learn about the town's colorful history. Originally settled by the Tlingit people, Sitka today is a culturally diverse town with deep Russian, Filipino and American roots. As a hotspot during the Gold Rush era, Sitka's population grew, but its role in World War II as a large US Navy base really helped to establish the city. Signs of the Gold Rush and World War II can still be seen today. This private cruise can hold up to six passengers.
