Breakfast. Today we shall proceed for the half day city tour of Hobart. The highlights of Hobart includes the Sullivan's Cove, Salamanca Place and Battery Point; then travel to charming Richmond, one of Australia's most original historic villages. Take a guided tour (at own expense) of Richmond Jail, operational since 1826. Free time to explore Richmond; see the convict built homes, classic Georgian mansions and small cottages, unique shops, galleries and restaurants.
Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight.
Breakfast. Today we shall proceed for the full Day Port Arthur Tour and the surrounds in this amazing deluxe tour. Rich in visual history, the Port Arthur Historic Site evokes a powerful sense of a past convict era and early Australian settlement heritage. Highlights include the historic convict site, royal botanic gardens, government house, Eaglehawk Neck and superb views of the rugged coastline. After lunch (own expense) take a guided walking tour of the historic convict site and then cruise on Carnarvon Bay to the Isle of the Dead. Enjoy more spectacular views on your return trip to Hobart. Overnight.
Breakfast. If this day happens to be a Saturday….. Before your departure a must visit to Salamanca market which has local produce and goods displayed and generally has a festive mood to it. Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Arrive at the airport and transfer by seat-in-coach to your hotel of your choice in Launceston. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Breakfast. Today we shall proceed for a full day tour of the Historic Ross village – Kiki's kitchen and Ross bakery, the Freycinet National Park with Wineglass Bay Lookout an easy but uphill walk of around 45 - 60 minutes and picture stops at Honeymoon Bay, Cape Tourville lookout and walk, Sleepy Bay. Stop at one of the East Coast Delights at Devils Corner Vineyard – seafood/oysters, gelato, wine & amazing views. Return back to Launceston. Overnight.
Breakfast. Awaken your senses to the magnificent splendor that is Cradle Mountain. Go deep into the Tasmanian forest and experience the solitary wilderness of waterfalls, glacial lakes, rainforest, wildlife and unsurpassed beauty of this World Heritage listed National Park. Discover many walks throughout the rainforest - catch your breath as you first glimpse the craggy outcrop of majestic Cradle Mountain towering above sparkling Dove Lake plateau.
Enjoy a scenic drive from Launceston to Cradle Mountain, stopping along the way at Sheffield - the town of murals. On arrival at Cradle Mountain National Park, you have 1.5 hours of free time to do walks and then 45 minutes of other coach touring around the park. Return back to Launceston and rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight.
Breakfast. Morning is at leisure. On your own you visit the Launceston Cataract Gorge & First Basin. Launceston's own piece of wilderness just 15 minutes' walk from the city center. Here you'll find walking and hiking trails, the world's longest single span chairlift, swimming pool, restaurant, kiosk, cafe peacocks and wildlife, beautiful gardens, suspension bridge, inclinator for easy access, Interpretation Centre and panoramic lookouts with spectacular views. Freshen up and depart for Launceston Airport Seat-in-coach for your flight back home or next destination.
