City Tour and Schonbrunn Palace

Duration: 3 hours
Overview: See the most important sights of the Austrian capital. Drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, past the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. Then drive along the Danube Canal and pass by Hundertwasser's 'Kunsthaus' and the Prater Park with its Giant Ferris Wheel.

The Schonbrunn Palace, with its surrounding buildings and the huge park is one of the most significant cultural monuments in Austria. The castle was built to almost rival French Versailles in Baroque beauty. Admire the magnificent apartments of Maria Theresia, her sitting rooms, bedroom and the parlour in which 6 year old Mozart used to play for the Empress. See some of the most magnificently decorated rooms with frescoed ceilings, crystal chandeliers, huge mirrors and gilded ornaments.

Rreturn to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you can either end your tour, or continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends.

Apple Strudel at Schonbrunn Palace

Belvedere Palace

Overview: Visit the Belvedere Palace, the palace at the heart of Vienna and which was the baroque summer residence of the renowned general and art connoisseur Prince Eugene. In the Upper Belvedere you find the world's largest Klimt collection with the famous golden pictures "The Kiss" and "Judith" which is a "must" for Klimt fans. In this magnificent palace you can stroll past Austrian art from the Middle Ages to Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. And from the Marble Hall there is an unforgettable view across the Baroque palace gardens to St. Stephen's Cathedral. At Prince Eugene's Lower Belvedere and Orangery, the museum stages superb temporary exhibitions with artworks from all over the world. Here you can also discover Prince Eugene's staterooms, the Hall of Grotesques and the sumptuous Golden Room, the Palace Stables and the Privy Garden.

Schonbrunn Oldest Zoo & Giant Ferris Wheel

Overview: Visit the oldest zoo and oldest Giant Ferris Wheel in the world. The Zoo was founded in 1752 and it is the oldest existing zoo in the world. It is embedded into the baroque ambiance of the Palace Park of Schonbrunn and is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the Zoo you will be able to see the many attractions including a pair of Giant Pandas, Koalas, giant Ant-eaters, African Elephants, Japanese Cranes and more than 400 species that can hardly be seen in any other Zoo in the world.

The Giant Ferris Wheel - called "Riesenrad" by the Viennese - is the oldest still existing wheel in the whole world. Its famous silhouette can be seen from most parts of the city and it has become a trademark representing Vienna. From the top you have an great view of the Austrian capital, Vienna.

Grand Danube River Cruise

Duration: 3 hours 20 minutes
Overview: Welcome on board of the MS Vienna! In the first half of this cruise, you will pass some of Vienna's most significant buildings like the Urania observatory, the "Kunsthaus Wien" (which has been re-designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser) and the Gasometer building. After passing the modern Hydro Electric power plant Freudenau you will continue to the Reichsbruecke. On the second half of this cruise you will get an unforgettable view of Vienna's tallest buildings - the UNO City, the Danube Tower (252m) and the Millenium Tower (202m). Afterwards you get to appreciate the lock Nussdorf and the Thermal Waste Treatment Plant Spittelau, which has been designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. On the way back you will see the Rossau Barracks, the Vienna Ring Tower and the St. Rupert's Church, which is the oldest religious edifice of the city. You then return to Schwedenplatz.

Romantic Danube Valley

Duration: 8 hours
Overview: On this full day excursion you will visit the beautiful region of Wachau Valley. Depart Vienna and head west along the highway to Melk, to visit the magnificent Benedictine Abby, Stift Melk. Lunch at the Abby Restaurant Melk, before boarding a boat for a beautiful view of the old castle and tales of the past. The boat ride ends at Duernstein, the old former wine merchant town. Return to Vienna, where the tour ends at the state opera house.

Strauss and Mozart Concert

Overview: This concert takes place in the Wiener Kursalon, which is located in the beautiful Stadtpark where you will see the famous statue of Johann Strauss. The famous master works of Strauss and Mozart are performed by the very professional Salon Orchestra, opera singers, and ballet dancers.

Vienna Heurigen Show

Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes
Overview: Start the evening with a tour along the illuminated boulevard Ring to the Viennese Prater and after a ride on the Giant Ferries Wheel, one of the symbols of Vienna, carry on to Grinzig, the little picturesque wine-growing village in the North of Vienna. Enjoy the 'Vienna Heurigen Show', where artists in beautiful costumes perform well known Waltz and operetta melodies, whilst enjoying a traditional Viennese meal and ¼ of local 'Heurigen wine'.

Vienna Woods and Mayerling

Duration: 4 hours
Overview: See the most beautiful part of the southern part of Vienna Woods. A stop will be made at Hoeldrichsmuehle, known as the place where Schubert composed Der Lindenbaum. You will also see Liechtenstein Castle from the distance. Then head towards the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz. Next you visit Mayerling, a hunting lodge where the Crown Prince Rudolph, the only son of Emperor Franz Joseph, committed suicide with Baroness Vetsera. Drive through the beautiful Helenental, passing through the Roman City of Baden, known for its thermal springs. After a coffee break return to Vienna.

The Vienna Mozart Orchestra

Duration: every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8:15 pm
Overview: The orchestra performs in Vienna, with internationally renowned singers and soloists, all in magnificent historical costumes and wigs. It creates a special atmosphere in Vienna's largest and most famous concert halls, like State Opera, Musikverein Golden Hall, Hofburg and Konzerthaus.

The 30 musicians exclusively perform the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the most accomplished representative of that period who, though born in Salzburg, found his home in Vienna. The orchestra's repertoire ranges from all of Mozart's symphonies to many of his instrumental concertos (for violin, piano and wind) to arias and duets from his most famous operas.
