Overview: Visit Zanzibar's colorful market and continue to the cathedral built in 1874 on the site of a past slave market, its high altar standing on the exact site of the whipping post. Slavery was abolished in 1873. Visit the residence of the late Sultans of Zanzibar, Tip Tip House, the Old Fort, Peoples Palace and the House of Wonders, full of intrigue and vivid history from a bygone era. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old Stone Town.
Later in the evening, take a ride in a traditional sailing boat for an insight into the real Zanzibar. The boat is equipped with safety equipment, sunshade, snorkeling equipment and boarding ladder. Enjoy the breeze and crystal clear turquoise waters while sipping a drink accompanied by snacks.
Overview: Start the excursion at the fishing village of Fumba, a 30 minute drive from Stone Town. at Fumba, after a briefing and life jacket demo, board the dhows to explore the bay and find the dolphins which are spotted on 85% of the trips. Stop on a sandbank for a snorkeling session accompanied by guides. For beginners, inflatable snorkeling vests and tuition are given. Toilets are available on the island.
