Day 1: Arrive Ahmedabad + Local Sightseeing

Arrival Ahmedabad airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Check in and relax.

Afternoon, we proceed to discover the historical, cultural, and architectural city. Proceed on a walking tour of the old city, protected by a wall, dotted with temples of different religions and full of houseworkshops where entire families live and work. Visit to the Sabarmati Ashram (the house where Mahatma Gandhi lived for a long time). Time permitting, visit the old market.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ahmedabad.

Day 2: Drive Ahmedabad - Patan - Modhera - Bajana (245 Kms / Approx 5 hrs. drive)

Breakfast at the hotel. We depart towards Bajana, with some stops along the way. Visit the stepwells of Adalaj, dating back to 1499. We drive to Modhera, where we visit the Sun Temple of 1026, it was designed in such a way that during the equinoxes the rays of the rising sun would illuminate, through the main door, the image of Surya – the god of the sun, placed inside the sanctum sanctorum. Later visit the magnificent Rani ki Vav at Patan, a splendid 11th century stepwell built by a queen of the Solanki dynasty, today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continue drive to The Little Rann Of Kutch – One of the most remarkable and unique landscapes of its kind in the entire world. It is a vast desiccated, unbroken bare surface of dark silt, encrusted with salts which transforms into a spectacular coastal wetland after the rains. On arrival check into hotel. Lunch at the hotel.

Afternoon proceed on a safari at Wild Ass Sanctuary in (saline mudflats) – a desolate area in western Gujarat, a refuge for the endangered Asiatic wild ass and home to numerous smaller mammals, migratory birds and native birds.

Dinner and overnight stay at Bajana.

Day 3: Drive to Bhuj (250 kms / Approx 4.30 hrs. drive) (320 kms / Approx 5.30 hrs drive)

Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Bhuj. Along the way we will visit the local villages, representative of the Gujarati lifestyle far from the modernity of the cities. Arrival in Bhuj, the capital of the Kutch region. Still partially surrounded by walls, it is a wonderful example of a fortified city and labyrinth of narrow streets. Check in at the hotel and relax.

Day 4: Excursion to The Villages of The Great Rann of Kutch

Breakfast at the hotel, today we will visit the tribal villages scattered across the vast territory of the Great Rann of Kutch.

Procced for excursions to Banni villages. Amidst the Desert land of infinite dimensions, are suspended, quaint little villages. These are the last villages on the India-Pakistan border. Here you will come across master craft people exposing their traditional art, turning our master pieces every day.

Afternoon visit Nirona village, The village of Nirona is the only place in the world where the tradition of Rogan art is still practiced. it is practiced by only one family in India, and they reside in Nirona village in Gujarat.

Later visit the famous White Rann, the spectacular sight of boundless white desert is the stunning creation of nature, unique to this world.

Day 5: Drive Bhuj - Rajkot (230 Kms / Approx 4.30 hrs. Drive)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Rajkot along the way, stop at the village of Bhujodi to observe the weaving of shawls, in which the Vankars are skilled, and at the village of Ajrakpur. It is well known as the city where Mahatma Gandhi spent his childhood and early youth. In the evening you will have free time to explore the city’s markets, where you can find beautiful gold and silver jewelry, traditional embroidery, and delicious sweets.

Day 6: Drive Gondal – Junagadh Fort – Girnar Hills - Gir NP (160 Kms / Approx 3.30 hrs. drive)

Breakfast at the hotel, we check out and procced to Gondal, a picturesque town with graceful architecture. Visit the curious collection of vintage cars of the royal family, which boasts, among others. We will also visit the Naulakha Palace, which houses the royal family’s private collection of fine handicrafts.

Later drive to Junagadh Fort, name literally means “great fort”. Situated at the foot of the sacred hill of Girnar, the place holds a special place in the history of Gujarat. The edicts of the emperor Ashoka. Later we will take the cable car that will take us to the top of Grinar hill, which pilgrims themselves often use to visit the Ma Ambaji Temple.

Continue drive to Gir National Park – The only place in the world outside Africa where a lion can be seen in its natural habitat. Gir is a home to 40 species of mammals and 425 species of birds. Check in at your lodge, lunch and relax.

Day 7: Gir Game Drive

Early breakfast at the hotel. The day is entirely dedicated to safaris in the park, which take place early in the morning and in the afternoon. This is a rare opportunity to watch those rare Asiatic Lions coupled with thousands of other elusive wild animals and hard-to-find birds like uncommon Asiatic wild ass, hyenas, Gir foxes, pygmy woodpecker, brown fish owl and black buck etc.

Day 8: Drive to Palitana (180 Kms / 4.30 hrs. Drive)

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Palitana – home to 863 exquisitely carved Jain temples built by devotees during a period spanning 900 years from the 11th century onwards. Out of all the temples here, the temple dedicated to the first Tirthankara, Sri Adishwar, is the most famous. Upon arrival check into the hotel. In the afternoon excursion to the temples of Hastagiri Jain Teerth.

Dinner and Overnight stay at Palitana

Day 9: Drive Palitana – Lothal – Vadodara (270 kms / 5.30 hrs. drive)

Early in the morning we will climb Shatrunjaya Hill, home to one of the two major Jain monastic orders. The sacred hill of Shatrunjaya (which every Jain aspires to climb at least once in their life) houses a stunning complex of over 800 temples and statues, spread over a 3-kilometer route and 3,000 steps.

Later we drive to Vadodra, Along the way we pass Lothal, the most studied site of the Harappan civilization in India: a unique opportunity to learn important information about the Indus Valley civilization, its surprising rise and tragic fall. Continue to Vadodara, also known as Baroda. Check in at the hotel and relax for the day.

Day 10: Drive Vadodara – Statue of Unity – Ahmedabad (100 kms / Approx 3.00 hrs. drive)

Today morning we proceed for day trip to the world’s tallest statue The Statue of Unity, it depicts Indian statesman and independence activist Vallabhbhai Patel, Visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam is a concrete gravity dam build on the Narmada River and second largest concrete dam in the world. Later visit the observation Deck of the statue which is located at the height of 135 meters near the chest of Sardar Patel Statue.

Afternoon drive for 3.5 hrs and reach Ahmedabad, on arrival check in at the hotel and relax for the day.

Day 11: Ahmedabad Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Later transfer to Ahmedabad airport for your onward Journey.
