Turkiye

Country Facts

A bridge between East and West, Turkiye combines the best of both worlds. Colourful, historic monuments stand side-by-side with ancient cave structures and labyrinthine underground cities. The coast is stunning, the cuisine is to-die-for and Turkish hospitality is legendary. A Turkish bath in a hammam, a hot-air balloon ride over Cappadocia, bargaining at the Grand Bazaar, wandering through the cobbled streets of Safranbolu and sailing the Mediterrenean waters in a gulet are just some must-have experiences. Get under the Turkish skin with Irfan Orga's 'Portrait of a Turkish Family', listen to Tarkan's pop music and watch Peter Weir's 'Gallipoli
