Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI

Welcome to Vietnam, a beautiful country in Southeast Asia. Meet up with our representative at the airport. Then we take you to the hotel in the center. Check in hotel, and you can be free to walk around or shop. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: HA NOI – HALONG FULL DAY TOUR

Have breakfast at the hotel. Then our tour guide and car will pick you up at your hotel and depart for Halong Bay. Halong Bay is one of the most interesting and famous places in Vietnam. Halong Bay was recognized as a World Natural Heritage by UNESCO. In the middle, you have a short break and relax for about 30 minutes.

Arrive at Ha Long Harbor, welcome aboard, and safety briefing. Then enjoy lunch with Vietnamese traditional food while cruising through thousands of limestone islands such as: Dog Rock, Incense Burner, and especially Fighting Cock – a symbol of Ha Long Bay.

Then we move to visit one of the biggest caves in Halong Bay, and then move to the area to take kayaking or a small bamboo boat (you can choose one and included ticket)

We return the boat to the harbor. There is a lot of time for sunbathing on the upper deck with music, enjoy great fun of group touring fellows among the world’s iconic natural scenery. Transfer to the bus back to Hanoi, with a short break on the way. We are back at your hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 3: HA NOI – NINH BINH TOUR

Morning, have breakfast at the hotel, then our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter, departure for Hoa Lu – Trang An (or Tam Coc), enjoying the beautiful scenery of the rural areas on the way.

After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the guide takes you to visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. You have a chance to learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties. Have lunch and break time.

Afternoon, we depart to visit Trang An, which was recognized by UNESCO as A World Heritage Site in 2014. Trang An has a wonderful tunnel cave system, so Kong’s Movie Group chose this place for the New Version of Kong in 2016 – “Skull Island”. With 2.5 hours for the boat trip, you will be persuaded by the beauty here. And get on the bus back to the hotel in Hanoi around 18h30. Tour ends.

DAY 4: HA NOI CITY TOUR

Have breakfast at the hotel. Then our tour guide will pick you up for the Hanoi city tour. First, we visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. It is the oldest pagoda in Ha Noi, built in the 6th century.

Then visit Ho Chi Minh complex, you have a chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh, then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda, where worship the God of Mercy – It is the most unique pagoda in the world.

Note:

  • Should dress modestly by covering from shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, temples, pagodas…
  • Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed for at least 2 months (15th June -15th August) for annual maintenance, but still take a picture of the Mausoleum and visit around that area.

 

Then we visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of the 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam.

Special Note: We will visit the Women’s Museum instead of the Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays

Have lunch at the local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we visit the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, established in the 11th century. Then we leave for Hoa Lo Prison Museum, which was originally used by the French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this later period, it was known to American POWs as the “Hanoi Hilton”.

Then we went back to the hotel. Tour ends.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE

Have breakfast at the hotel and then have free time shopping or walking around the city. Then, time at your leisure until transfer to the International Airport for departure. Goodbye Vietnam.
