Detailed Itinerary

DAY 01: AIRPORT – CHILAW – DAMBULLA

Arrive at Colombo International Airport and transfer to Dambulla. En route, visit Chilaw, home to the sacred Munneswaram Temple, an ancient Shiva temple linked to the Ramayana, followed by Manavari Temple, where Lord Rama is believed to have installed the first Ramalinga to overcome Brahmaasthi Dosham. Continue to Dambulla, check in to your hotel, and relax.

DAY 02: DAMBULLA – TRINCOMALEE – DAMBULLA

After breakfast, proceed to Trincomalee, a scenic coastal town known for its rich heritage and panoramic ocean views. Visit the sacred Koneswaram Temple, perched atop Swami Rock, followed by the revered Shankari Devi Temple, one of the 18 Shakti Peethas. Continue to the unique Kanniya Hot Springs, famous for its seven natural hot water wells. Return to the hotel and relax.

DAY 03: DAMBULLA – KANDY

After breakfast, visit a traditional Spice Garden to discover Sri Lanka’s famous spices and their medicinal uses. Continue to Kandy for a city tour including Upper Lake Drive, local markets, and a gem museum. Explore the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, known for its vast collection of tropical plants and orchids. Later, visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most important Buddhist sites.

DAY 04: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA

Later, explore Nuwara Eliya, known for its colonial charm, followed by a visit to the sacred Divurumpola Temple, believed to be the site of Sita’s Agni Pariksha. Check in to the hotel and relax.

DAY 06: BENTOTA – GALLE – COLOMBO

After breakfast, visit the legendary Rumassala, believed to be linked to the Ramayana, where Hanuman dropped a part of the Sanjeevani mountain. Continue to Balapitiya for a scenic boat safari on the Madu River, exploring mangroves, islands, and local village life. Visit the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project to learn about turtle conservation efforts.
