Day 1: Hanoi

Arrive Hanoi, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi - Full Day City Tour

Breakfast. Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or centrally located Hanoi Opera House. Visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda the Buddhist centre of Hanoi. Visit the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam. Visit the Complex of President Ho Chi Minh (Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Stilt house) where he lived and worked until the last years of his life. Learn about Uncle Ho’s simple life. Stop by One Pillar Pagoda, one of the 4 symbols of Hanoi. Lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, begin with HỏaLò Prison, a former prison, also called Central House or ironically Hanoi Hilton, built when Indochina was an integral part of the French Empire. Partly destroyed in 1990, it is now a museum. Next, visit the Hoan Kiem lake (Sword Lake) in central Hanoi with the Turtle Tower, Ngoc Son Temple and discover the traditional Vietnamese and French colonial architecture surrounding the lake. Visit the Dong Xuan market. Your car will take you back to the hotel in the Old Quarter or you can rent a cyclo around the Old Quarter and Sword Lake at your own expense.

Day 3: Hanoi - Bai Dinh Pagoda - Trang An Tour

Breakfast. Depart Hanoi and head for Ninh Binh. Enroute visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, an impressive complex of Buddhist temples with towering Buddha statues. Continue to Ninh Binh’s Trang An area, explore, and then transfer to an Indian restaurant for lunch on your own. Take a local boat tour of the Trang An mountains. Admire the spectacular scenery which is like Halong Bay inland! Evening, transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Da Nang

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Danang. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Check in and freshen up. Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 5: Da Nang - Ba Na Hills Tour

Breakfast. Early morning pick up for Ba Na cable car tourist area, Nui Chua. At the cable car station, go up the mountain by the world’s longest cable car and marvel at the height difference between the two largest stations in the world. Arrive at Station 2 stop where your guide will help you obtain the mountain train ticket. Discover the attractions in Ba Na Hills, see the many typical flowers. Your guide will lead you to the 2nd cable car to take you up Ba Na Mountain, 1487 m above sea level. Arrive at the 3rd and last stop where you can rest and play at the biggest indoor games in Southeast Asia only available at the resort.

Enjoy buffet lunch at the restaurant. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you back to Da Nang.

Day 6: Danang - Marble Mountain - Hoi An Half Day Tour

Breakfast. Visit Marble Mountain today. Upon arrival, climb the stone stairs to visit the caves and pagodas and admire the magnificent panoramic view. Next, go to Am Phu Cave, and discover amazing underground tunnels, accompanied by the resonant sound of bats’ wings. Visit Linh Ung Pagoda.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Discover the city of Hoi An on foot, making a few stops including the Hoi An Museum, many famous old mansions with remarkable architecture and the Assembly Halls with Chinese influence. Return to Danang.

Day 7: Danang - Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City)

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 8: Saigon - Chu Chi Tunnels - Half Day City Tour

Breakfast. Visit the Cu Chi Tunnel which is an underground tunnel complex legacy of the Vietnam War against the United States. Learn about the life of Viet Cong guerrillas and local people during the war. Before entering the tunnels, watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. Explore the tunnels for an hour. The network of over 200 km of tunnels functioned as underground cities with numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres & kitchens. Then, enjoy tea and cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war).

Drive back to the Ho Chi Minh centre to visit the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office and go shopping at Ben Thanh Market.

Day 9: Saigon

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to depart for your next destination.
