Day 1: Ho Chi Minh

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh! You will be met by our representative at the Tan Son Nhat Airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Rest of the day is leisure.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnels - Half Day City Tour

Breakfast. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel, to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels an underground tunnel complex, legacy of the Vietnam War against the United States. Learn about the life of Vietcong guerrillas and local people during the War. Before entering the tunnels, watch a short introductory video on how the tunnels were constructed. The network of over 200km of tunnels played a vital role in the War. They functioned as underground cities with numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres & kitchens. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnels.

Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Lunch on your own.

After lunch, visit the War Remnants Museum on your half day City Tour. The Independence Palace is a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City. Pass by Ho Chi Minh Notre Dame Cathedral, established by French colonists who initially named it the Church of Ho Chi Minh. It was constructed between 1863 and 1880. See the Central Post Office which has Gothic, Renaissance and French influences. It was constructed between 1886 and 1891. Return to your hotel.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta Tour - Ho Chi Minh

Breakfast. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel. During the one-and-a-half-hour car ride, pass through green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho city. Arrive at the Vinh Trang Pagoda which is the biggest in the Mekong Delta region. Explore the most beautiful temple in the region filled with fruit trees in the village of My Hoa in the town of My Phong, on the banks of the Bao Dinh canal.

Continue by motorized boat on the Tien River to the Tortoise, the Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn Islet. Walk into the village, visit a local fruit garden and enjoy tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Join the daily activities of the locals. Visit the bee house. Proceed for lunch.

Next, visit Ben Tre Province known as “The Land of Coconut”. Visit the coconut candy-making shop. Enjoy a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by water coconut palms on both sides. Take some time to relax on a hammock or bike around the village. Return to the hotel, rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh - Siem Reap

Breakfast. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel to depart for the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Arrive in Siem Reap – Treasure of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to a special welcome. Meet your guide, transfer to your hotel and check in.

Day 5: Siem Reap - Angkor Thom - Angkor Wat - Siem Reap

After breakfast, visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom the ancient 12th century capital. See the South Gate, Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Baphuon temple a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru, the Phimeanakas temple in a huge complex that was used by past kings in the Elephant terrace platform for king and officers to view shows and meet people.

See Preah Palilay older than Angkor Thom, deep in the forest and continue to the famous Angkor Wat, a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendour. It features the longest continuous bas-reliefin the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Return to your hotel.

Day 6: Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake - Siem Reap

Breakfast. Transfer to Tonle Sap Lake for a boat trip where you will learn about life on the lake. Pass floating houses and impressive flooded forests. Returning to town, visit Artisans d’Angkor where you tour through the workshops and watch students creating silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, polychrome products, silver plating and silk paintings.

Transfer to Siem Reap Airport to depart for your next destination.
