Day 1: Arrival Delhi
Arrive New Delhi International airport. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. On arrival check into the hotel. Delhi’s strategic location was one of the main reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power and today it is a conglomerate of seven cities. The division between the old walled city and New Delhi marks a division in lifestyles, with the old city retaining its past traditions whilst New Delhi strives to match the pace of the 21st century. Rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 2: Delhi Full Day Sightseeing
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed on a full-day City tour of Old and New Delhi.
Old Delhi: enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through 300-year-old Chandni Chowk market, a maze of lanes crowded with noisy shops selling an extraordinary variety of items and foods. Drive past the magnificent Red Fort (closed on Mondays) and Jama Masjid. and past the Jama Masjid (or Friday Mosque), the largest in India, Drive past Feroz Shah Kotla, ruins of an old fort from the 14th century. and drive past the imposing walls & battlements of the Red Fort, once the most opulent palace in the Mughal Empire. We continue to the Raj Ghat—the simple but moving memorial on the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.
Afternoon visit New Delhi: Drive past the Presidential Palace, the Rashtrapati Bhavan, through the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memorial arch, photo stop at the India Gate, Visit the Qutub Minar, the 2-meter-high Minaret, and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque. See Delhi’s most curious antiques, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates to the 4th century AD, & Humayun’s Tomb. After visit, return to hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Jaipur (320 kms / Approx 5.30 hrs drive)
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and start your road journey to Jaipur – the first planned city of India, located in the desert lands of Rajasthan. It was built 285 years ago by warrior, astronomer Raja Sawai Jai Singh-II and reflects the royal taste of the Rajput’s in its architecture. It is the capital city of Rajasthan. The graceful pink coloured architecture of the city has earned it the title of ‘The Pink City’. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Evening is free to explore local handicraft market.

Day 4: Jaipur Full Day Sightseeing
Breakfast at the hotel; later, proceed on an Excursion to Amber Fort. Enroute Photo stop at ‘Hawa Mahal’ (Palace of Winds). Arrive Amber Fort— 7 miles north of Jaipur is Amber, with it’s a honey-colored fortress-palace in the Aravalli Hills, which can be mounted by Jeep. It has been described as “the sleeping beauty of Rajasthan”.
Later, proceed for a guided city tour, visiting the City Palace, the former Royal Residence part of which is now a museum. One of the major attractions here is the armoury with its impressive array of pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles, and daggers used by the Maharajas of Jaipur. Also visit Jai Singh’s Observatory, Jantar Mantar Observatory, the largest stone and marble-crafted observatory in the world and a World Heritage Site. It is the best preserved of five observatories built by Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur. It has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. built in the 17th century. After visit, return to hotel.

Day 5: Drive Jaipur - Bharatpur Bird Santuary - Fatehpur Sikri - Dholpur (270 kms /approx 5 hrs)
Early Breakfast at the hotel. Later drive to Dholpur, enroute visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (UNESCO World Heritage) – Recognised as one of the World’s most important bird breeding and feeding grounds. It originated as a royal hunting reserve during the 1850s and was a game reserve for Maharajas and the British. Post birding, lunch stop at Bharatpur.
Later visit the magnificent red sandstone royal city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by the emperor Mohammad Akbar as the capital of the Mughal Empire. The city was abandoned due to water shortage, when the capital was moved north to Delhi, and in more recent years the fort has provided a dramatic backdrop to several famous films.
Continue your drive to Dholpur – “The Land Of The Red Stone”. It used to be the seat of the Dholpur princely state before Independence, and today is a city of diverse culture and historical grandeur. The red sandstone from Dholpur is famous throughout the country as was used in the construction of the Red Fort in Delhi. On arrival, check into your hotel.

Day 6: Chambal safari – Drive Dholpur - Agra (150 kms / Approx 3hrs drive)
Early breakfast at the hotel. Proceed for Chambal Boat Safari: The best way to experience the Chambal Sanctuary is to take a boat safari in the Chambal River, experiencing the magnificent ravines on one side of the bank and happening wildlife on the expanse of the river on the other side. The safari is for two hours, and your boat escort takes you quite far into the riverbed to experience the natural habitat of gharial, crocodiles, turtles, and close to 300 species of resident and migratory birds. Later visit Ghariyals Breeding Farm: Gharials are bred in captivity here, and they are generally grown for two to three years and average about one meter in length when released.
Afternoon drive to Agra, set along the banks of the Yamuna River and originally the capital of the Mughal Empire. Agra is world-renowned as the home of the Taj Mahal—that great symbol of love built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 16th century as a memorial to his beautiful wife, Mumtaz Mahal. On arrival, check into your hotel. Evening is free on its own.

Day 7: Visit Taj Mahal – Drive to Delhi (240kms / Approx 5-6 hrs drive)
Early today by sunrise visit The Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays) – The Greatest love Story ever told! On the death of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, Shahjehan built her this memorial. It took 22 years to build this monument. After visit return to hotel for Breakfast.
Later check out and visit Agra Fort – behind its forbidding red sandstone Battlements lie palace that tells the story of the Mughul Empire. After the visit drive to Delhi, On arrival check into your hotel.

Day 8: Delhi Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. By noon transfer to Delhi International airport for your onward Journey.
