DAY 2 – RIO DE JANEIRO
After having breakfast, our day starts with a visit to “Corcovado”. The starting point is the urban district “Cosme Velho”, which is located between the city center and Copacabana. By using the cogwheel (approximately 20 minutes ride to the top), you travel through the “Tijuca” tropical forest, which is the biggest urban forest in the world. It is also a fantastic place to look over Rio de Janeiro and to see the mountain. The Corcovado has a height of 710 meters. At the top of Corcovado is the monument of Christ, The Redeemer, with open arms, which you can see from nearly every place in Rio de Janeiro. On one side, the Sugar Loaf and the “Guanabara” bay and “Niterói”, and on the other side, the “South Zone” with the beaches of “Copacabana” and “Ipanema” as well as the “Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas”. The Corcovado is located in Tijuca National Park, a protected area.

Lunch in a typical “Churrascaria” – it is a typical restaurant from Brazil, a gourmet extravaganza. If you have not been to a Churrascaria while in Brazil, you have not been to Brazil! Great food, service, and view.
After lunch, visit the Sugar Loaf. To get on top, you travel by cable car. You have a first stop on a hill called “Morro da Urca”, on which several gardens and panoramic viewing platforms are located. Arrived at the second stop, you enjoy a spectacular view over Rio de Janeiro, its beaches, and the “Guanabara” bay. On the horizon, you can see the Corcovado. Return to the hotels and overnight stay.
DAY 3 – RIO DE JANEIRO
After having breakfast, your day starts with a city tour to visit the historic center of Rio de Janeiro. You have a walk through the tight streets, which hold the history of the city. You visit the highlights of tourist attractions, e.g., the abbey named “São Bento”, the beautiful church called “Igreja de Candelaria”, the “XV. Novembre Square”, and the “Banco do Brasil” cultural center, which occupies the former headquarters of the bank.

Furthermore, you see the most famous street, “Goncalves Dias”, where a traditional bar named “Colombo” is situated. Finally, the trip ends on the “Largo da Carioca” and the Rio de Janeiro’s urban cathedral. Return to the hotels, free time in the afternoon for relaxing or optional excursions. Overnight stay.

Another popular lookout is “Alvar-Nunes”, from where you can admire the falls called “Bozetti”, “San Martin”, and “The Two Sisters”.
