Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN JOHANNESBURG

Welcome to South Africa! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your journey or explore the surroundings at your own pace. Overnight stay in Johannesburg.

DAY 2: JOHANNESBURG - SOWETO CITY TOUR

This tour will begin by discovering Johannesburg’s beauty and wealth through its urban environment.

You will then visit the inspiring Apartheid Museum dedicated to recounting the history of the rise and fall of Apartheid in 20th-century South Africa. The exhibits are from film footage, photographs, text panels, and artifacts illustrating the events and human stories of Apartheid. Thereafter, you will get the opportunity to discover the former South-African president’s house, in which you will hear about the Mandela family’s history and times spent in Soweto.

DAY 3: JOHANNESBURG TO HOEDSPRUIT – SAFARI EXPERIENCE

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hoedspruit, the gateway to some of South Africa’s best wildlife reserves. Upon arrival, transfer to your Safari Hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy an afternoon game drive in a Big Five game reserve, home to Lions, Cheetah, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and so much more. Game drives are conducted in a 4×4 open-sided safari vehicle with a qualified game ranger at one of three reserves: Pridelands / Rietspruit / Olifants / Blue Canyon.  Afternoon game drives include a sundowner and snacks.

Note: Please bring sun cream, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, warm clothing in the winter months, and a rain jacket in the summer months.

Dinner will be back at the hotel.

DAY 4: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK FULL-DAY SAFARI

Experience a thrilling full-day game drive in Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s largest and most iconic wildlife reserves. You will be collected at your Lodge between 05:00 and 5:30 am. Please collect breakfast packs from the lodge, and you will return at about 04:00 pm after the safari.

Travel in an open safari vehicle with expert guides as you search for lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo, along with a wide variety of birds and other animals. Enjoy the raw beauty of the African wilderness. On return, take the time to relax and freshen up before dinner.

DAY 5: LEISURE DAY / OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Today is at leisure to relax at your lodge or choose from optional excursions.

Optional Full-day Panorama Route Tour: 

Alternatively, you may choose the full-day Panorama Route tour, one of South Africa’s most scenic drives. Journey through dramatic landscapes featuring lush valleys, cascading waterfalls, and spectacular viewpoints such as God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and the Three Rondavels. This route offers incredible photo opportunities and a chance to witness the natural beauty and geological wonders of the region.

Optional Half-Day Morning Kruger Game Drive:

Embark on an optional early morning game drive in nearby reserves or Kruger National Park, where cooler temperatures increase your chances of spotting predators and active wildlife. We tour some of the most popular areas in the Southern Kruger, stopping at lookout points and watering holes, in search of wildlife. In a single morning, guests can see plenty of animals, including lions, elephants, impala, and giraffe, as well as some nocturnal animals.

DAY 6: HOEDSPRUIT TO CAPE TOWN

After breakfast, you may opt for an optional early morning game drive for one last chance to spot wildlife in the cool hours. Return to the lodge, check out, and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cape Town.

On arrival, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore the city at your own pace. Overnight stay.

DAY 7: CAPE TOWN CITY TOUR & TABLE MOUNTAIN

Discover Cape Town’s rich heritage and scenic beauty on a Half-Day City Orientation Tour. Take a cableway ride to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting) for breathtaking panoramic views of the city, coastline, and surrounding mountains. Continue exploring landmarks such as Bo-Kaap, Company Gardens, and historic city sites. Overnight stay.

DAY 8: OPTIONAL FULL DAY CAPE PENINSULA TOUR

Embark on a full-day Cape Peninsula tour, known for its spectacular coastal scenery and natural beauty. With scenic views to take your breath away and photo opportunities galore, this trip also takes you through a World Heritage Site – the Cape Floral Kingdom.

Today, explore the famous Cape Winelands region, known for its stunning vineyards, mountain landscapes, and world-class wines. Visit charming towns and enjoy wine tasting experiences at renowned estates. Overnight stay.

DAY 10: DEPARTURE FROM CAPE TOWN
